We are constantly bombarded with the latest styles that hit the runways, resulting in fleeting styles. The back-baring dress gained its popularity in the 40s and 50s, thanks to the infamous Marilyn Monroe. Every since then, this is one dress that remains in fashion. The shirt dress is a style of women's dress that borrow details from a man's shirt. Not to be mistaken as being boring, the multi-faceted shirt dress can surprisingly be a multi-tasker bringing you from desk to beach with just playing with accessories.

3. The wrap dress
This iconic dress needs no introduction and has a cult following including Madonna, Michelle Obama and other Hollywood A-listers. The kimono-style wrap dress was introduced in America in the 1970s by Diane Von Fursternsberg which quickly sold this wrap dress in millions.
Known as the universally flattering dress, it is of little wonder why this dress remains ever so popular 40 years later. The adjustable wrap around the waist makes it insanely figure flattering (and also leaves some leeway for more endowed figures).
